Dental Assistant


Program Description

be key members of the dental health care team. They will train in all aspects of a dental practice. Students will learn to sterilize and disinfect instruments; prepare trays for dental procedures. They will also learn to prepare materials for making impressions and restorations. The program also teaches students how to expose radiographs and process dental x-ray film. They could also learn to perform office duties including scheduling, insurance coding and billing.

Students in the program will apply their knowledge and skills in industry work experiences. This may include laboratory-based, paid or unpaid work experiences for students.
